Outdoor Club To Hike Morrison
Ski Trail Sunday
On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike and or possibly ski the Morrison ski trail. The group will meet at Musante Street, Warren, at 1:30 p.m. or the Morrison Trailhead on Route 59 past the Kinzua Dam at 2 p.m. Bob Gregerson is the leader for this activity.
County Chapter Of SCOPE To Meet Tuesday
MAYVILLE – The next Chautauqua County Chapter of SCOPE meeting is Tuesday at 7 p.m. S.C.O.P.E. is Shooters Committee on Political Education. Discussion will focus on protecting the rights of New York gun owners. The meeting will take place at VFW Post 8647, 10 Memorial Drive, Mayville. Meetings are open to the public.
Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet Tuesday
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Busti Golden Agers will meet on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lakewood Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. Vern Blakely, a private tour operator, will discuss upcoming tours and itineraries. The Chautauqua County Health Department will follow up on its fall presentation with radon kits distribution. City Planning Commission To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the police training room on the fourth floor of city hall. Items on the agenda include a presentation on the Gateway Lofts project on Water Street and a local preservation ordinance. Boys And Girls Club Announces
Winter Break Hours
The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club will have different hours during the Jamestown Public Schools’ winter break from Feb. 17-21. The club will be open for youth ages 5-18 from Monday through Friday. Club hours for youth are noon to 5 p.m. There will be free swim each day from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is served each day at noon, a snack will be served in the afternoon. All program areas are open. Youth members can attend at no charge. Non-members are $1 a day which goes toward the $25 a year membership fee. On the same days the club pool, gym and weight room will be open for adult members from 7 a.m. to noon. The club will not be open at night – there is no family night on Thursday, Feb. 20. No swim lessons (adult/youth) or sports will be held during winter break.
Prendergast Library To
Host Teen
VR Program
The James Prendergast Library will host a teen VR program at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20 to allow teens ages 14 to 18 to use the library’s new virtual reality headsets. Snacks and games will be provided while the headsets are in use. No registration is required.
