St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Open Saturday

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. All departments are stocked with nearly new warm clothing. The houseware department is also well stocked. Regular shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. All proceeds benefit the local community.

Outdoor Club To Host Weekend Hikes

On Saturday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will host a family friendly hike at 10:30 a.m. at Winterfest at the Chapman Dam. Those participating should meet at the warming hut. The hike will be an out and back hike to the swinging bridge and campground and then return. On Sunday, the club will host a 4.2 miles with moderate hills. The hike will be off Forest Road 362 off of Pleasant Drive. Those attending should meet at Musante Street at 1:30 p.m. Jim and Kim Berky will lead.

Falconer Village Board To Meet Monday

FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. There will be a work session prior to the board meeting at 5 p.m. for a presentation from Square Engineering on the wastewater system study.

Audubon To Host Sunday Story Time

The Audubon Community Nature Center will host its monthly free First Sunday Story Time for children ages 2 to 8 on Sunday. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. for the 12:30 to 1 p.m. story time. Doors open to the public at 1 p.m. The program is free as is Sunday admission. Come for stories and stay to explore the indoor and outdoor Nature Play Areas, live animals, and exhibits. Reservations for Story Time are requested by Saturday by calling 716-569-2345 or visiting AudubonCNC.org/events. Participation is limited to 15. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

Westfield Academy Central Slates Blood Drive Feb 14

WESTFIELD – Westfield Academy and Central School will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m.t o 2 p.m. Feb. 14. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Boys, Girls Club Accepting Registration For Basketball League

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls of Jamestown is accepting registrations for their basketball league. The league runs from Feb. 4 through March 7 with no games/practice the week of February 17, which is winter break in the school systems. The fee for the league is $30. It is necessary for each participant to be a Boys & Girls Club member. Each league will play for four weeks, with teams playing once a week. Tuesday basketball is for kindergarten through second grades and is from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday basketball is for third through fifth grades and is from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Friday basketball is for sixth through eighth grades and is from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. The program is an instructional league and there are no tryouts. Each week will include skill drills/practice followed by a game.
