Planning Board To Meet Feb. 6
FALCONER – The Falconer Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Building Board Room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.
Ross Grange To Host County Pomona Meeting Feb. 10
FALCONER – The January meeting of Ross Grange was held following a dish to share meal. The charter was draped in memory of 100 year old Frank Walker. He had been a member of Ross Grange for 86 years. Betty Wakefield read a resolution of respect for him which will be placed in the grange memorial book with a copy sent to the family. State Secretary Ryan Orton sent a letter of congratulations and information regarding the 150th anniversary of Ross Grange. Plans were discussed for an open house at the Falconer Public Library with historical items on display in late April. Plans were made for Ross Grange to host the Chautauqua County Pomona meeting at the Falcon’s Nest on Feb. 10.
Chautauqua Mall To Host Red Cross Blood Drive Feb. 13
LAKEWOOD – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Chautauqua Mall, 318 E. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Norden Women’s Club To Meet Feb. 14
FALCONER – The Norden Women’s Club will host a member-guest luncheon on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer. Social hour begins at noon, with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. The program is Unlocking Vitality: Chair Yoga for Flexibility and Stress Relief by Sarah Kahn.
