Jamestown School Board To Meet Today

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet today at Bush Elementary School. Beginning at 5:45 p.m. the STEM students at Bush will be presenting a showcase of activities that they participated in during the annual Chautauqua County STEM wars. The regular board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Legion Auxiliary Postpones Meeting Due To Weather

CASSADAGA — The meeting for the Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 is postponed for today due to weather conditions. The group is planning to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet Thursday

MAYVILLE — Weather permitting, the Mayville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Thursday at the VFW in Mayville. The group will have a ham dinner, swear in officers and hear music of John Savage. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service. Dues for 2025 are due. If Chautauqua Central School is closed due to bad weather, there will be no meeting.

County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday in the conference room at the Chautauqua County Airport building in Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Sewer District Board To Meet Thursday

CELORON — The Administrative Board of the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Thursday at the Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron. The public is welcome to attend.

Antique Auto Club To Meet Wednesday

FLUVANNA — The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.

Cassadaga Library To Host Digital Detox

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Library branch will host a free Digital Detox event on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. Turn in electronic devices in exchange for a token of the library’s appreciation and read, knit, crochet, or do crafts in a device-free atmosphere. The library will also add an activity. The library is partnering with 3 Lakes Cafe for coffee and treats. The event is free to attend, bring cash or pre-purchase a coupon for coffee and baked goods.
