Sinclairville Library To Host Neighborhood Nature Today And Dec. 18

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library will host “Neighborhood Nature with Corinne Kelly” at 4 p.m. today and Dec. 18. Corinne Kelly is a Cassadaga Valley Central School science teacher and will lead children ages 7 and up through a hands-on program that encourages them to explore and connect with the plants, animals, and ecosystems in their own backyards. Earn badges and become a certified “Nature Neighbor.” Registration is requested by calling the library. SCOPE To Meet Tuesday In Mayville

MAYVILLE – The Shooters Committee on Political Education (SCOPE) will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at VFW Post 8647, 10 Memorial Drive, Mayville. Meetings are open to the public. Tuesday’s meeting will focus on “Defending the rights of New York gun owners.”

Jamestown Public School Board To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown City School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room of the administration building, 197 Martin Road. The public is welcome to attend.

JCC Board To Gather Dec. 17

The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the boardrooms of the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses, and North County Center. Those who want to attend are asked to register in advance with Marsha Hern at MarshaHern@mail.sunyjcc.edu or 716-338-1060.

Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakewood American Legion Building. Southwestern Elementary School’s fifth grade chorus will present a musical program. Following the program, at the group’s regular meeting, officers will be elected. The Golden Agers will not have a meeting in January. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Lakewood American Legion.

Watts Flats UMC To Hold Lasagna Dinner Dec. 18

WATTS FLATS – The Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Watts Flats, will be having a lasagna dinner with desserts on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.

JLDC To Hold Annual Meeting

The Jamestown Local Development Corporation will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the mayor’s fourth floor conference room in city hall. The public is welcome to attend.

Madrigal Singers To Perform Dec. 19

The Jamestown High School Madrigal Singers will perform at the Marvin House’s December luncheon at noon Dec. 19. Reservations are due by Dec. 17 by calling 716-488-6206 or emailing marvinhouse@marvinhouse.com. The cost is $21 for members and $25 for guests.

Rabies Clinic Set For Dec. 21 At Human Society

The Chautauqua County Health Department will host a free rabies vaccination clinic sponsored by the Chautauqua County Humane Society from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown. Animals must be pre-registered to receive vaccinations. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. Pre-registration is required and should be submitted online by visiting HealthyCHQ.com/Rabies.
