JHS Music Department To Host “Prelude” Concert Nov. 13
The Jamestown High School Music Department will present its “Prelude Concert,” the first concert of the 2024-25 school year, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Merton P. Corwin Auditorium at JHS. The concert will feature all music ensembles at the high school, including the A Cappella Choir and Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Lauren Scharf, director of choral activities; the Symphonic and Chamber orchestras, under the direction of Katherine Derrenbacher, orchestra director; and the Symphonic and Concert bands, under the direction of Meghan Murray, director of bands. The concert is free and open to the public.
Frewsburg School Board To Meet Thursday
FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. in the Robert H. Jackson Elementary School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend.
United Senior Council To Meet Thursday
STOW – The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the North Harmony Senior Center in Stow. Jeanne Wiebenga will present a program on Antarctica.
Clymer-French Creek Library Board To Meet Thursday
CLYMER – The Clymer French Creek Free Library board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the library, 564 Clymer Sherman Road. The public is welcome.
Lakewood Library To Host Artist Exhibit Nov. 15
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library is hosting exhibiting artist Maria Malmstrom’s work in November. A reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m. Her exhibit, titled Paris Mon Amour, revolves around a collection of photographs encapsulating her many years spent immersing herself in the city, offering a glimpse of her cherished places and experiences.

Conservancy To Host Wine On The Trail Friday
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be holding a “Wine on the Trail” walk at its Outlet Greenway Preserve at 3361 Old Fluvanna Road, Jamestown, starting at 4 p.m. Friday. Participants should wear water-resistant footwear. Participants are welcome to bring their own wine or other beverage to enjoy as they navigate through and learn about the preserve with Carol Markham, conservancy conservationist, and Bethany O’Hagan, land specialist. No fees or reservations are required.
Holiday Expo Vendors Still Being Accepted
