Library To Host Telescope Training

BUSTI – Area residents are invited to the Hazeltine Public Library on Monday at 6:30 p.m. for telescope training. The library has a telescope available through a donation from the Martz-Kohl observatory. The training is free and recommended for anyone interested in learning more borrowing and using the telescope. Although the training is free, seating is limited so reservations are recommended. The library can be contacted at 716-487-1281 and is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti.

Bemus Point Library Board To Meet Nov. 12

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library is having a board meeting Tuesday at 5:30 .p.m at the library. The public is welcome to attend.

Christian Women To Host Veterans Day Luncheon

RUSSELL – The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will hold its Veterans Day luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at noon, along with its Christmas bazaar to benefit Village Missions, starting at 11:15 a.m. at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Spiritual speaker will be Candria Carlson of Clarendon. Bring synthetic socks for veterans to be sent overseas by the Blue Star Mothers of Jamestown. Falconer Village Board To Meet

FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Fire Exempts Hall, located at 3 Coleson Drive. There will be a work session prior to the board meeting at 5:30 p.m. for a discussion on American Rescue Plan Act money.

CVCS Board Of Education To Meet Nov. 13

North County LWRP Meeting Is Nov. 14

PORTLAND – The Chautauqua County Department of Planning & Development will host a second public meeting to discuss the development of the Northern Chautauqua Local Waterfront Revitalization Programs. A Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) is a locally prepared land and water use plan for a community’s developed, natural, public, and working waterfronts. It provides a comprehensive framework within which a community’s vision for its waterfront can be formalized. LWRPs are being prepared for the towns of Dunkirk, Hanover, Pomfret, Portland, Ripley, Sheridan, Westfield, the villages of Silver Creek and Westfield, and the city of Dunkirk. The public meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory, 6592 West Main Road, Portland.
