Proposition 1 Rally Is Saturday At City Hall

On Saturday at 11 a.m. at Tracy Plaza, there will be a rally against Proposition 1, a state constitutional amendment on the ballot of the Nov. 5 general election.

To Hike Sunday

Sunday members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will take part in a “Forefathers Hike” in Oakland Cemetery. The hike will be a 3-mile hike involving a lot of moderately challenging uphill, stopping along the way at various gravesites to hear stories of Warren’s history. The hike is a combination of roadway terrains. Those attending will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Musante Street parking lot and discuss parking/carpooling, then will head 5 minutes down the road to the cemetery. Lisa To is the leader.

VFD To Host Final Barbecue Sunday

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting its final chicken barbeque of the season starting at noon Sunday until sold out. Meals consist of a half chicken, scalloped potatoes, applesauce, cookie and roll for $15. Beverages are available for those who want to dine in. There will also be half chickens available for $8 each. Parking is available behind the fire hall.

Fundraiser To Raise Money

For SWCS Trip

LAKEWOOD — The community is invited to a “flapjack fundraiser” on Sunday, Oct. 27, to support Southwestern High School’s upcoming French and Spanish trip. The cost is $10 and the event is scheduled between 8-10 a.m. at the Applebee’s at 340 East Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood. CCAFMA To Hold Annual

Harvest Banquet

The CCAFMA will host its annual harvest banquet on Monday, Oct. 28 at the Fluvanna Fire Hall. A brief business meeting will be held at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per dinner, with children costing $10 each. The meal includes beef on kimmelweck, lasagna, veggie lasagna, salad & dressings and dessert. Those attending can bring a dessert to share if they want. Reservations are due by Friday, Oct. 18. Checks can be made payable to CCAFMA and mailed to Elaine Crossley 630 Sandberg Road, Frewsburg, NY 14738 or paid the night of the banquet.
