Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers
To Meet Today
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet on Tuesday at the Lakewood American Legion Building. The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a hobo lunch. At Tuesday’s meeting, reservations and dinner payments will be taken for the harvest dinner to be served at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Falconer Village Board To Meet Oct. 15
The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Fire Exempts Hall, located at 3 Coleson Drive. There will be a work session prior to the board meeting at 5:30 pm for a discussion on ARPA money. The public is welcome to attend.

Meet Oct. 15
FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 556 recently met. Treasurer Debby Walsh reviewed revenue and expenses for the month of August. The budget for 2024-25 was distributed. Minutes from June and August were read and approved. Tammy Spontarelli was named chair of the Finance Committee. Unit 556 will have two spots for Girls State. The membership goal for 2024-2025 is 250 members. A thank you note from Nate Colley for the $1,000 scholarship was read. Upcoming events include the clam bake and the paint and sip. The combined meat raffle/gun raffle/basket raffle will be held on Oct. 5. Donations of gift baskets are needed by Oct. 1. The Barbershop Quartet concert and dinner is set for Nov. 9. The Frewsburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 556 meets the third Tuesday of each month. All members are encouraged to attend. The next meeting will be Oct. 15.
City Planning Commission To Meet Oct. 15
The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the police training room on the fourth floor of city hall. The public is welcome to attend. Public comments and questions can be sent to Ellen Shadle, city principal planner, at shadle@jamestownny.gov or at 716-483-7657.

Historical Society To Meet Today
BLOCKVILLE – The Harmony HIstorical Society will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a talk with Patricia “Trish” A. Neal, author of a book about Anna E. (Ploss) Durkee. The book is titled “Wrangell Garnet Ledge History and the history of the Alaska Garnet Mining & Manufacturing Co.” Learn how Durkee went from teaching in North Harmony schools to creating, with her partner Mary T. UMC To Host Spaghetti Dinner
WATTS FLATS – Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Watts Flats, will have a spaghetti dinner with desserts on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.
