Celeron Village Board To Meet Monday
CELORON — The Celoron Village Board will hold a special meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the Celoron Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron, to discuss and take possible action on acquiring certain parcels of land in the village of Celoron and to conduct other essential village business. The public is welcome to attend.
Homeowner Grants Available
CELORON — The village of Celoron is considering applying for a grant to help homeowners with necessary home repairs. Homes must be single family and owner-occupied. Owners must be low- to moderate-income. Those interested are asked to fill out a pre-application at the Celoron Village Hall, 21 Boulevard Ave., Celoron. The pre-application is also available on the village website: www.celoronny.org. For more information, call the Chautauqua Home Rehab & Improvement Corp. (CHRIC) at 716-753-7650. Money will be made available by the state Office of Community Renewal’s Community Development Block Grant Program. If awarded, the village plans to contract with Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation & Improvement Corporation (CHRIC) to administer the program.
CCAEA To Hold Monthly Meeting
STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting at the club grounds on Tuesday at 7 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.
Band To Perform At Ellery Park
ELLERY — The Kokomo Band will perform at Pavilion 1 at the Ellery Town Park from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday. The public is welcome to attend.
Watershed Fundraiser Set For July 1
BUSTI The Empty Bottle at Southern Tier Distilling Company will host a fundraiser for the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy on Friday, July 1. Ten percent of all sales from the day will be donated to the conservancy, which the conservancy will use towards the completion of its ‘Fish Hawks and Steelhead Habitat Campaign’ to conserve 71 acres of sensitive wildlife and fish habitat on and near Goose Creek and at the mouth of Chautauqua Creek in Barcelona. Staff from CWC will serve as guest bartenders from 5 to 8 p.m., and live music will be provided by Kyle Gustafson. The Empty Bottle is located at 2051A Stoneman in Lakewood. Reservations are not needed for the event.
JHS Class Of 1977 Adds Golf To Reunion Itinerary
Jamestown High School Class of 1977 has added a golf outing to their reunion weekend on July 8 at Moonbrook Country Club. The golf starts at 1:30 p.m. and the cost is $75, including cart, which can be paid for that day at the course. Those interested in golfing should send the names of their golfers to trecklund@gmail.com. The class is also having a free party on Friday, July 7, and a Saturday, July 8, event at Moonbrook Country Club.
