School Board Meets Monday

BEMUS POINT — Members of the Bemus Point School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Middle-High School on Dutch Hollow Road. An executive session will take place at 5:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Registration Has Begun For Ashville Free Library’s Summer Reading Program

ASHVILLE — Registration has begun for Ashville Free Library’s summer reading program, “Oceans of Possibilities.” A take-home format, “Summer Reading in a Bag,” provides age-appropriate books, learning activities, crafts, a snack and more for ages preschool to 12 and will be available for pick up each Friday from July 8 through July 29. Register online at www.ashvillelibrary.com or in person until June 30. Falconer Village Board Meets Monday

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Fire Exempts Hall, 2 Coleson Dr., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.

School Boards To Hold Joint Meeting

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board will hold a joint meeting with the Chautauqua Lake Central School Board at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ripley. The regular meeting of the Ripley School Board will begin afterward.

Construction On Route 380

Beginning

June 16

Construction crews will be rehabilitating County Route 380, Kimball Stand-Stockton Road, starting June 16, and ending July 1. The road will not be closed. Expect lane closures with flaggers and signs posted during the weekday hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through July 1. A detour will not be posted. Plan on taking an alternate route.

Job Corps Announces Info Sessions, Tours

Cassadaga Job Corps Academy can once again host tours and information sessions for interested applicants and their families by appointment. The academy offers no-cost career training in the health care, construction and security industries as well as classes to prepare to take the GED or obtain a high school diploma. Career training programs include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, certified nurse assistant and security. In addition, the academy also offers a Job Corps Advanced Training program for LPN, in partnership with BOCES. In order to enroll in Job Corps, applicants must be 16-24 years old and meet income and other guidelines. Services for graduates include job placement assistance and transition money.
