I attended the Bicentennial Fireworks on the 4th in Olean and viewed the Lakewood Fireworks from the I-86 Rest Stop tonight.

YES! What a great family event. My grandchildren just LOVE them and we look forward to going to Midway every year (just wish they'd try to make the after firework traffic a little more efficient!)

I viewed the fireworks from my sister's home on the lake, and was able to see both the Mayville display and the Midway one. Both were wonderful, and even the private additions were fun! Haven't seen them for years, so it was a treat! Flares were beautiful, too!

Wait, did they mean ones put on by professionals or ones put on by amateurs?

Spent the day at the Vikings Lake Park, traditional July 4th Chicken BBQ and stuck around for the Midway display. The State did a very good job! Wasn't sure how much effort or $ they would put into it but it turned out great! Great weather too!

I'm one of those lucky few that have to work holidays in the health profession soI was not able to attend the Mayville festivities and the fireworks. However I am glad there are fireworks on Sat because it isn't the 4th without fireworks.
