Ruth Ann Wetter passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2014, in Manteca, Calif.
She was born Oct. 9, 1924, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Solomon and Bessie Sauber;
She worked at Union Carbide, and married Norman L. Wetter from Jamestown, N.Y., in May of 1945. Ruth worked in the office at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., where her husband ob-tained an engineering degree. They moved with their four young children to Fremont, Calif., in 1957, but kept close ties with their East Coast families.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Nor-man, 1992; and her eldest daughter, Eileen Shaw, 2011. She leaves behind a brother, Henry Sauber of Lancaster, Pa.; daughter, Lois Tilbury of Escalon, Calif., and her husband Warren; and twin sons: Bruce Wetter of Oakland, Calif. and his wife, Margaret, and Ron Wetter of Walnut Creek, Calif., and his wife Terri.
Ruth was a special part of the lives of her seven grandchildren: Brendan Shaw, Lauren Shaw, Kenneth Tilbury, Benjamin Tilbury, Sarah Wetter, Alex Wetter and Allison Wetter; and her two great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest in her childhood home, Jamestown, amidst the brilliant fall colors she loved. Private burial to be held Oct. 4 at noon in Lakeview Cemetery.
