Members of the Jamestown Skating Club recently returned from competing at U.S. Figure Skating’s National Showcase, which was held in Burbank, Calif. The Los Angeles Figure Skating Club hosted the theatrical skating event that had more than 400 skaters competing from across the nation. In order to qualify for the showcase, the skaters had to place first through fourth in a USFS-sanctioned competition. From the left are Mikayla Johnson, who placed fifth in Intermediate Duet, eighth in Teen Dramatic Entertainment, and ninth in Teen Light Entertainment; Morgan Johnson, who took second place in Intermediate Extemporaneous Improvisation to earn a medal and a place in the finals where she finished fourth, and who placed fifth in Intermediate Duet and sixth in Dramatic Entertainment; Alyssa Steen, who placed seventh in Pre-Juvenile Light Entertainment; Tyler Farber, who placed seventh in Teen Light Entertainment and 10th in Teen Dramatic Entertainment; and Megan Jones, who placed seventh at the Novice Level.
