Phyllis K. Sundquist, 89, formerly of 3274 Busti-Stillwater Road, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Oil City, Pa., the daughter of the late Lon and Mary Black Rhines.
Phyllis was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School, and served as a town of Busti election inspector since 1960. She was a member of Home Bureau and the Carroll Lodge 1147 F&AM auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons: Daniel (Sara) Sundquist of North Sutton, N.H., and Jon (Judy) Sundquist of Austin, Texas; two daughters: Mary Brink of Busti, and Susan (Mark) Johnsson of Louisville, Ky.; eight grandchildren: Kane, Casey, Mary Amanda and Stiles Brink, Eben and Nels Sundquist, and Kyleen and Ryan Johnsson; and seven great-grandchildren: Kole, Nolan and Garrett Brink; Caidence, Easton and Hudson Rapp; and Libby Sundquist.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Sundquist, whom she married April 5, 1947, and who died April 15, 2006; a son, Daryl R. Sundquist; and a sister.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan W. Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
