ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Darlene M. Harvey, 42, of Bemus Point was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and several vehicle and traffic infractions. Police responded to a personal-injury vehicle accident at the intersection of Strunk Road and Fluvanna Avenue Extension in which a vehicle struck a sign and utility pole. The driver - Harvey - was treated at the scene by Fluvanna Fire Department officials. Investigation revealed that Harvey was intoxicated. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jordan T. Adams, 28, of Jamestown was charged Thursday for an inadequate front tire and failure to stop at a stop light. Christine M. Redding, 34, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with possession of a hypodermic needle. At 3 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle that allegedly did not stop at a red light at the intersection of Chautauqua Avenue and Fairmount Avenue. Once the vehicle stopped in the parking lot of a local business, Redding left the vehicle and went inside the business to dispose of a hypodermic needle in the bathroom, police said. Both will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA - Sheryl M. Barton, 33, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with third-degree grand larceny. Barton was a part-time home health care assistant that worked at a residence at Chautauqua Institution. It is alleged that she stole a bag of gold jewelry that consisted of rings and earrings inside the residence. A joint investigation by the Sheriff's Office and Chautauqua Police led to the recovery of two pieces of jewelry and the arrest of Barton. She will appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
LITTLE VALLEY - Carl R. Williams, 35, of Olean was picked up on an arrest warrant out of New Albion on Tuesday. He was arraigned at the New Albion Court and held on unrelated charges.
GREAT VALLEY - Keith F. Ciereck, 49, of Howard, Ohio, was charged on Aug. 9 with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or more, DWI and failure to maintain lane after being pulled over on Route 219 for traveling on the shoulder. Investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. He will appear in Great Valley Court at a later date.
RANDOLPH - David E. Sargent Jr., 51, of Jamestown was charged on Aug. 9 with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a child less than 15, failure to keep right, no front plate and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after a traffic stop on Route 394. Investigation revealed he was intoxicated with two children as passengers. He will appear in Randolph Court at a later date.
