JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jonathan Vega Rivera, 22, has been charged with second-degree criminal contempt following an incident that occurred Friday. At approximately 9:37 p.m., officers spoke with a male and female at the intersection of Crestline Drive and Swan Street. After a brief investigation, officers determined that the male, Vega, had a valid order of protection to stay away from the female. Vega was charged and transported to City Jail without incident.
Jose L. Ortiz, 36, has been charged following a probation warrant check performed by officers on Saturday. At approximately 2:54 a.m., the check was conducted by officers at 115 Fulton St. As officers attempted to place Ortiz into custody, he physically pulled away and threw a punch at officers. He was taken into custody on the probation warrant and additionally charged with resisting arrest. He was transported to City Jail pending arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
LAKEWOOD - Julio E. Torres, 18, was charged with petit larceny after he was caught stealing women's clothing at Wal-Mart in Lakewood on Monday. He was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket, and is due back in court on a later date.

MAYVILLE - Kristen M. Brooks, 40, of Mayville, has been charged following an incident that occurred Saturday. At approximately 2:45 p.m., deputies received information that there was a possible intoxicated driver in the Arrow Mart parking lot. Deputies located the person, who was identified as Brooks. Through an investigation it was alleged that Brooks had operated her vehicle while intoxicated. A check of Brooks' driving record revealed that her privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New York state had been revoked due to a prior driving while intoxicated conviction. Brooks was taken into custody and charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and aggravated DWI. She was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court, and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
ELLINGTON - Britney L. Clifton, 16, of Leon, was charged following a two-vehicle crash with injuries Saturday. At approximately, 8:30 p.m., deputies and Ellington Fire Department responded to Thornton Road in the town of Ellington. A 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Thornton Road when a 2002 Toyota passenger van entered the roadway from a parked position and collided with the motorcycle. The driver of the van was identified as Leon. Both Leon and the motorcycle operator were transported to WCA Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Clifton was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way while entering traffic and unlicensed operator. Clifton had a learner's permit, but the licensed driver supervising her was not 21 years old. The 18-year-old passenger was not injured in the crash.
NORTH HARMONY - Jason C. Bang Jr., 54, was charged following a traffic stop that occurred Friday. At approximately 10 p.m., deputies stopped a speeding motorist of Route 394 in the town of North Harmony. The operator, Bang, was found to be in possession of a stun gun. He was taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and speeding. Bang will answer the charges in North Harmony Town Court at a later date.
MAYVILLE - Thomas J. Bottomley, 31, of Mayville, received multiple charges following a traffic stop that occurred Friday. At approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Valley Street in the village of Mayville for having only one working headlight. The driver was identified as Bottomley and, upon investigation, it was alleged that he was intoxicated. An open container of alcohol was also found in the vehicle. Bottomley was taken into custody for possessing. A record check of Bottomley's driving history showed he had a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated within the past 10 years, making this incident a felony. Bottomley was issued tickets for no head lamp, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, felony DWI, and DWI per se. He will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Brandon J. Brooks, 19, of Gowanda, was charged following an incident that occurred Sunday morning. At approximately 12:04 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 5 in the town of Hanover for failure to stop at a stop sign. The driver identified himself as Brooks and, upon investigation, it was alleged that he was intoxicated. Brooks was taken into custody and charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. He was processed and later released to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK - Carlee Northrup, 26, of Silver Creek, received multiple charges following a traffic stop that occurred Saturday. At approximately 9:19 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to maintain its lane and failing to signal a turn on Williams Street in the village of Silver Creek. The driver was identified as Northrup. Upon investigation, it was alleged that Northrup was intoxicated. She was charged with failure to maintain lane, no turn signal, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se with a blood alcohol content level of .08 percent or higher. Northrup will appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Philip J. Porpiglia, 61, of Irving, has been charged following a traffic stop that occurred Sunday. At approximately 12:38 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to signal a turn on Allegany Road in the town of Hanover. Upon investigation, the driver, Porpiglia, was alleged to be intoxicated. He was charged with no turn signal, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se with a blood alcohol content level of .08 percent or higher. Porpiglia will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
SHERMAN - Marcus Lindstrom, 19, of Sherman, has been charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. On Sunday, officers responded to a reported underage party at a residence on Stebbins Road in Sherman. Upon arrival, deputies located several underage people in possession of alcohol. Lindstrom was identified as the person who was hosting the party. He was issued an appearance ticket, and will appear in Sherman Town Court at a later date.
