Hector I. Pantojas Sr., 60, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, in his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1953, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Segundo Pantojas and Francisca Cordero Martinez.
He was employed by New York State Highway Department. He enjoyed cooking, pig roasts and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are his son, Hector I. Pantojas Jr. of Taylorsville, Kentucky; his daughter, Leila Pantojas of Puerto Rico; a granddaughter, Emma Naihomy Hiraldo of Puerto Rico; three brothers: Segundo Pantojas Jr. of Ocala, Florida, Robert Pantojas of Falconer and Jesus Pantojas of Rochester; and five sisters: Sonia Pantojas of Tampa, Florida, Sara Love of Bradenton, Florida, Artelia Pantojas-Gay of Bradenton, Florida, Sandra Pantojas of Middletown and Francisa Pantojas of Florida.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Luis Pantojas of New York City.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
