Members of the local Viking Lodge 65 honored longtime 25- and 50-year members at their Viking Lake Park facility.
Viking Chief Mindy Worden welcomed all the guests and honorees. Each recipient was recognized with an appropriate pin denoting the number of years they had belonged to the International Order of Vikings.
Before making the presentation, Worden asked for a brief time of silence in remembrance of those Vikings who had passed away this past year. Special mention was made of the passing of John Pavlock, I.O.V. Grand Chief, and Mike Smith who passed away this spring. Assisting in the ceremony were Orrissa Greenwald, vice chief, and Bill Peterson and Tim Fagerstrom, Past Grand Chiefs.
