Vincent L. "Vick" Baran, 52, of Falconer passed away Tuesday (July 29, 2014), in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
Vick was born March 8, 1962, in Warren, Pa., the son of Vincent L. Baran I and Lanna Eccles Baran.
He was a 1980 graduate of Eisenhower High School and was employed by Jamestown Sterling and Crawford Furniture.
Vick was a member of the Falconer Horseshoe Club and played in various bowling and pool leagues. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying nature and the outdoors. Vick espe-cially enjoyed spending time with his grand-daughter, Mackenzie. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and New York Yankees fan.
Surviving are his companion of 29 years Barbara Doty of Falconer; a son Vincent L. (Monique) Baran III of Warren; a stepson, Jason (Dara) Brown of Randolph; a grand-daughter, Mackenzie Baran of Warren; three stepgrandchildren: Joslyn, Keira and Ethan Brown, all of Randolph; his parents Vincent L. and Lanna Baran I of Sugar Grove, Pa.; his sister, Mary (Chris) Dor-man of Cassadaga; three brothers: Mark Baran of Sugar Grove, David Baran of Jamestown and Adam Baran of Sugar Grove; his step maternal grandmother, Beatrice Eccles of Falconer; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Devereaux; his maternal grandfather, Robert W. Eccles Sr.; and his paternal grandparents: Michael and Pauline Baran.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Hughes, pastor of Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service Friday in the funeral home.
