KENNEDY - Summer music continued in Kennedy recently with the appearance of Kokomo Time Band in Hallquist Park.
Sponsored by Kennedy Pride, audience members were delighted by the mix of tunes from the '50s to the '80s. While enjoying the excellent entertainment, patrons could purchase a choice of refreshments, including a wide variety of baked goods. Time seemed to fly as concertgoers bopped to the beat, and even got to sing along at times. Band members felt the gazebo in the park was a great place for a summer concert.
Whether the band was doing up tempo music or slower ballads, audience members were taken back in their memories to fun days of the past. The humorous banter between group members kept the crowd interested between numbers. Also, the stories behind some of the tunes they played gave an insight into the music world of past eras. Kennedy Pride was pleased to be able to bring Kokomo Time Band to the village as part of their service to the community.
