Thomas A. Pintagro, 90, of Frewsburg, died at 10:41 a.m. Saturday (July 26, 2014) in WCA Hospital.
He was born in Jamestown on March 26, 1924, the son of Anthony and Rose Liuzzo Pintagro.
Tom was employed as a truck driver for Lyons Trucking and retired in 1979 due to a disability.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 53 and the YMCA.
Tom is survived by his son, Robert Pintagro and his companion, Sharon Goodwill of Frewsburg; a daughter, Patricia M. Tingue of Jamestown; and six grandchildren: James Bradley of Rome, N.Y., Robert Bradley, and Richard and Thomas Pintagro, all of Jamestown, Christine Reliford of Jacksonville, N.C., and Robert Pintagro of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. Several great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Casagrande Pintagro, whom he married in 1945 and who died on Nov. 13, 2003; three brothers: Carl, Sebastian and Anthony Pintagro; and two sisters: Carmella States and Anna Muoio.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will not be observed.
Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
