Geraldine L. Biehls, 93, a resident of the Rouse Home, in Youngsville, and formerly of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Rouse Home.
She was born in Richmond, Virginia, on Jan. 7, 1921, the daughter of the late William Henry and Katherine (Stien) Moore.
She was the widow of Clifford Y. Biehls, who preceded her in death April 27, 2002.
Geraldine was formerly employed in the Returns Department at New Process Co. (Blair). She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Sugar Grove, the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, and the Red Hat Society. She loved to knit and crochet, spent many hours reading her bible, and was a wonderful homemaker and mother.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (David) B. Anderson of Jamestown, N.Y.; a son, Gary C. Biehls of Geneva, N.Y.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Biehls; a daughter-in-law, Janet Biehls in 2013; three brothers: Robert, George and Edwin Moore; and a sister, Virginia Vaughan.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services Inc., 54 W. Main St. in Youngsville, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, with the Rev. Billy Hughes officiating.
Burial will be private and will be in the Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove.
