Archaeological Project Continues At Fenton History Center; Camp Begins Monday

July 24, 2014
Post-Journal

The Fenton History Center is once again offering hands-on learning about archaeology for children entering grades one through seven at two separate summer camps. The two camps are based on the ongoing archaeology project in Fenton Park surrounding the history center. The Junior History Detectives, grades one through three, will be exploring the onsite archaeology project and creating their own excavation site throughout the weeklong camp. Other activities will include digging up the past by investigating various "finds" and how they may have been used. They will reverse archaeology. The camp is Monday to Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $50 per camper.
