Aleene P. Fralick, 92, of Old Pine Valley Road, Columbus, Pa., died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, Pa.
She was born on July 21, 1921, in Clymer, N.Y., a daughter of the late Samuel and Pearl Hollis Upperman.
Aleene was raised and educated in Columbus, Pa., and attended Columbus Elementary School.
She married Ily Fralick on Oct. 12, 1940, in Findley Lake, N.Y., and stayed home to raise her family.
She later worked for Crescent Tool in Jamestown, Corry Memorial Hospital and then Bond Spring in Corry.
She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Aleene loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Aleene was preceded in death on Feb. 14, 1978, by her husband, Ily Fralick; a daughter, Barbara Martin; a son, Gary Fralick; two sisters: Olive Sheehan, and Dorothy Aikens; and seven brothers: Loren, Hollis, Les, Roy, Dale, Merle and Glenn Upperman.
Aleene is survived by four sons: Rodney Fralick and his wife, Mary of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dale Fralick and his wife, Sharon of Spartansburg, Pa., Sam Fralick of Columbus, Pa., and Dean Fralick and his wife, Patricia of Kennedy, N.Y.; and a sister, Mable Swiderski of Jamestown, N.Y. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or services held.
