The Timberwolves Community Alliance Foundation in conjunction with the Cattaraugus-Little Valley All-Sports Boosters will hold their third annual golf tournament at its new home of Cardinal Hills Golf Course on Tuesday at 1 p.m..
The tournament will be open for registration at 12:30 p.m. for any foursomes not already registered.
This tournament has been organized to assist the students at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School with various monetary situations that come up during the year. Students and/or organizations are asked to submit applications for funding. Past tournament proceeds have been able to sponsor students attending Camp New Horizons, provide scholarships at graduation, sponsor a program called "Caught in the Act" which recognizes individuals who do random acts of kindness, sponsor artistic acts/plays/etc. for the communities and will sponsor adult education programs this coming year.
The main sponsor of the first three tournaments have been Brooks and Brooks LLP law firm located in Little Valley. Major business sponsors are Landmark Chevrolet in Randolph and AXA Financial Advisors headquartered in Williamsville. Tee and hole sponsors include J@k Auto, Dutch Hill Woodworks, The Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office, superintendent Jon Peterson and Park Pharmacy.
The longest drive contest is sponsored by Performance Powder Coating. The closest to the pin contest is sponsored by Mentley Funeral Home and O'Roarke Funeral Home. The longest putt contest has been sponsored by John Rembold and Dave Robbins, the " hat guy" under the grandstand at the Cattaraugus County Fair starting July 28.
Various auction items have been donated by ex-Buffalo Bill Mike Hamby, Randolph Hardware, the Jamestown Cycle Shop, Tops Markets, Peaches and Creme, Vail Hardware, Julie Murphy, Randy's Garage, Schubert Enterprises, Sixt Lumber, Jim Kelly Inc., the Timberwolves Community Alliance, and the C-LV All-Sports Boosters. Prizes include autographed Jim Kelly items and an original painting done by world renowned artist Hamby. Mulligans will be for sale and dinner is available for any not actively playing in the tournament.
