JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Richard D. Hosack, 35, of Jamestown was charged Monday with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment. At 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a Baker Street residence for a report of a disorderly male threatening another male with a metal pipe. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the male victim who stated that he feared physical injury. Investigation revealed that Hosack had a domestic dispute with a female prior to threatening the male victim. It is alleged that Hosack threw a stereo and steam vac, belonging to the victim, onto the ground causing them to break. Hosack also pushed the female victim during the argument. Hosack was located inside his residence and transported to the city jail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Sarah J. Deering, 22, of Gerry was charged Monday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after police determined she took a victim's car without permission. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
RIPLEY - Charles M. Finn, 43, of Ripley was charged July 7 with aggravated unlicensed operation, uninspected motor vehicle and no front plate. At 7:48 p.m., deputies on North East Sherman Road pulled over a vehicle with no front plate and expired state inspection. Investigation revealed that the driver-Finn-had a revoked driver's license. He will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
RIPLEY - Gerri M. Ziolkowski, 37, of Ripley was charged Friday with second-degree facilitating aggravated unlicensed operator. Investigation reveals that Ziolkowski allegedly allowed an individual to drive her vehicle while knowing the operator's license was revoked. She will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Dale W. Miller, 34, of Silver Creek was charged Monday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operator. At 2:08 p.m., deputies observed Miller driving on Route 5 and 20 in Hanover. They were aware that Miller had active warrants out of Silver Creek and had suspended driving privileges. He was pulled over and arrested on an active warrant. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
POLAND - David T. Baron, 51, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with felony driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over on I-86 in Poland for a loose rear registration plate and a hanging tail light. Police detected an odor of alcohol, and after field tests, transported Baron to State Police barracks in Jamestown for processing. A blood alcohol content of .19 was obtained. Baron will appear in Poland Court at a later date.
MAYVILLE - Henry B. Stovall, 37, of Jamestown was charged on July 8 with driving while intoxicated-refusal, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle after a property damage accident on Route 430 in Mayville. Upon arrival, police observed Stovall attempting to walk away from the scene, refusing to cooperate in field tests. After resisting arrest, Stovall was transported to State Police barracks in Jamestown for processing. He was committed to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
ELLICOTT - Emily L. Steves, 31, of Warren, Pa., was charged on July 6 with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, improper left turn and operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while using a mobile phone. Police pulled over Steves on Route 60 after observing her talking on her cell phone. Police detected a strong odor of alcohol, and after field tests, placed Steves under arrest for DWI. She was transported to State Police barracks at Jamestown for processing where a BAC of .11 was obtained. Steves will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
SHERMAN - John R. Schultz, 42, of Erie, Pa., was charged on July 6 with driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over at a traffic road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman. After field tests, Schultz was placed under arrest and transported to State Police barracks at Jamestown where a blood alcohol content of .09 was obtained. He will appear in Sherman Court at a later date.
SHERMAN - Jeffrey M. Beach, 26, of West Seneca was charged on July 6 with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance as a result of a narcotics investigation on Wait Corners Road in Sherman. Beach was placed under arrest for selling heroin and transported to State Police barracks at Jamestown for processing. Beach was found to be in possession of 22 grams of heroin. He was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.
SHERMAN-Nathaniel G. Kuhn, 27, of Meadville, Pa., was charged on July 5 with driving while intoxicated and failure to use turn signal after a traffic stop on Route 76 in Sherman. After field tests, Kuhn was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to State Police barracks at Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .09 was obtained. He will appear in Sherman Court at a later date.
