Lucian L. Lodestro, 83, of Falconer, passed away Wednesday (July 9, 2014), in his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A lifelong area resident, he was born July 9, 1931, in Falconer, the son of the late Lory L. and Grace J. Ognibene Lodestro.
Lucian was a graduate of Falconer High School, St. Bonaventure University and Union University Albany Law School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Lucian was a self-employed attorney having practiced from 1959 to 2012. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Falconer, where he had served as past president of its Holy Name Society. Lucian was also a member of the Jamestown Bar Association having served as past president. He was also a member of the New York State Bar Association, Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion and Eastside Fellowship Club.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Emily Potter Lodestro, whom he married Sept. 1, 1956, in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Constableville, N.Y.; his son, Larry R. (Cindy) Lodestro of Frewsburg; his daughter, Laurie Anne (Tim) Becker of Falconer; four grandchildren: Sean L. Lodestro of Florida, Colin S. Lodestro of Jamestown, Carolyn E. and Elizabeth A. Becker. both of Falconer; two sisters: Sally J. (Michael) Gregory of Bemus Point, and Rose Marie (Ray) Johnson of Falconer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lory L. and Grace Lodestro; and his sister, Loretta G. LaMancuso.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
