JoAnn M. Popovich, formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed at 2:01 a.m. June 28, 2014, in Strong Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 15, 1952, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Jean and John Popovich.
She lived and worked in Rochester, N.Y., at Strong Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She earned her nursing degree in Buffalo, N.Y., and her master's in New Orleans, before moving to Rochester.
Surviving are her sister, Diane Potter from Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers: Jeffery Blosser from Pinole, Calif., and Michael Popovich from Woodland Hills, Calif.: niece, Heather Blosser of Alameda, Calif.; nephews: Chris Potter of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jordan Popovich of Woodland Hills, Calif.
She wanted no service and her ashes will be spread in the garden in Mt. Hope Cemetery
She will be missed as she had battled breast cancer for almost 10 years working up till May 15, 2014 before she passed.
