Sonya Joan Johnson VanEpps, 72, of Geneva, Fla., passed away Sunday morning, June 29, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sonya was born on Nov. 22, 1941, in Jamestown, N.Y. As a twin and the youngest of eight children, she developed a love for family and faith that lasted a lifetime.
A loving, hardworking and devoted wife and mother, she moved with her family to the Orlando area in 1979 and started a successful wallpapering business. She leaves all who knew her with a kinder heart and many fond memories.

She is survived by her husband, Charles William VanEpps; children: Sherry Manville, Brad Hoskin and Brenda Hoskin-deLeon; stepdaughters: Gina VanEpps and Valerie Kelley; sisters: Marilyn Osman, Ann Marie Kelly and her twin, Sandra Tidquist; brothers: Donald Johnson, Paul Johnson, Ralph Johnson and Marvin Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thurday, July 3, at the First Baptist Church of Geneva, 325 First St., Geneva, FL 32732.
