CHERRY CREEK - Robert F. Park, 91, a maintenance foreman for Dahlstrom Manufacturing, where he worked for 23 years, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, N.Y.
He was born Sept. 9, 1922, in McKane County, Pa., the son of the late Chancy and Florence (Sheldon) Park.
Robert also worked as a plumber and fabricator with KB Pickup and taxied the Amish community around the Western New York area.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Milspaw Park whom he married June 19, 1955, of Cherry Creek, N.Y.: four daughters: Audrey C. (Timothy Panton) Appling of Cherry Creek, N.Y., Joan M. Park of Buffalo, N.Y., Linda S. Olmeda of Jamestown, N.Y., and Robin L. (Richard) Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons: Robert (Donna) Milspaw of Geneva, N.Y., Douglas A. (Janet) Park of Waverly, Va., and Roger L. Park of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons: Robert Park, David A. Park and Dennis A. Park; two granddaughters: Mary Jane Park and Tina L. Appling; two brothers: George Park and Lavern Park; and a sister, Alice Whitacre.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 3 p.m., at Hills Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Dayton, N.Y. The Rev. Kevin Oakes of the First Baptist Church of Cherry Creek, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cherry Creek Central Cemetery in Cherry Creek, N.Y.
Visitation will be held at Hills Funeral Chapel on Saturday from noon-3 p.m.
