CHERRY CREEK - The 2014 Cherry Creek Summer Gazebo Concert Series continues Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. with the music of "23 Skidoo."
The concert will take place in the gazebo of the Memorial Park located on Main Street behind the town hall. Those planning to attend are reminded to bring lawn chairs for seating, and that refreshments will be available. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the pavilion of the Main Street Ballpark, Route 83.
In an attempt to bring the visual and performing arts together, the concert will feature an art project, which will be displayed at the closing concert of this season in mid-August. Supplies for the art project will be available at the concert.
"23 Skidoo" entertains audiences with patriotic melodies and well-known favorites which entice audiences to sing along.
"Coming to the concert is a great way to spend a summer evening. Listen to some great music, enjoy a hot dog and see your neighbors. You might even find some artistic ability you don't realize you have," said Brenda Hendricks, of the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc.
The 2014 Cherry Creek Summer Gazebo Concert Series is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc., and funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Re-grant Program administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council, area businesses, the town and village of Cherry Creek, and community members.
