Jamestown Police have charged two males with first-degree burglary for the home-invasion incident that occurred at 188 Falconer St. in Jamestown.
The two subjects were taken into custody inside the residence at the time of the incident. The investigation revealed the subjects were involved in the incident, along with three other suspects who remain at large.
Police have not released the names of the subjects who are in custody.
Police are still looking for three black males who fled the residence upon police arrival at 3:04 a.m. Tuesday.
One of the subjects is described as a stocky black male with dreadlocks wearing a baggy red shirt. This subject fired a shot at a police officer as he entered the residence. The officer then returned fire before the suspect jumped out of an east side window. The suspect then fled with the two other suspects in a southern direction behind the houses on Stowe Street.
The suspect who was fired upon by the officer may have been hit and may be seeking medical treatment. It has not been confirmed that the subject was hit by the return fire.
Police also located a large-caliber handgun outside the Falconer Street residence. Police believe this weapon was the one used by the subject who fired shots at police.
Anyone who has information on the suspects' identities is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department at 483-7531 or on the anonymous tip line at 483-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
