JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Waleska Diaz, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with second-degree menacing. At 7:57 p.m., officers responded to a North Main Street address for a physical domestic dispute in progress. An investigation revealed that Diaz put a knife to the victim's stomach and threatened to kill the victim, police said. Diaz was transported to the city jail and will appear in city court at a later date.
David Soderberg, 25, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated. At 4:47 a.m., officers responded to McCrea Point for a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers found a heavily damaged vehicle that struck the guard rails around a Jamestown BPU power station, police said. Soderberg was walking outside the vehicle, police said. Officers determined that he was intoxicated. He was transported to WCA Hospital for minor injuries and will appear in Jamestown Court at a later date.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Clifford C. Latta III, 40, of Falconer, was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of an airway. Police responded to a domestic incident and determined that Latta choked another family member and punched him in the head, police said. He was remanded to the county jail on $2,500 cash/$5,000 property bond.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Shai Milliman, 20, was charged with petit larceny Thursday at 9:30 p.m., after allegedly stealing merchandise from Wal-Mart. She will appear in Busti Court on July 8.
Michael J. Privitear, 29, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At 8:05 p.m., Privitear was pulled over for a traffic violation that allegedly occurred on East Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood. An investigation revealed that he had a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle, police said. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA - Nicholas A. Zentz, 19, of Mayville, was charged Friday with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. At 12:48 a.m., the Sheriff's Office received information regarding a large underage party off of Plank Road. Deputies located the party and broke it up. Zentz was identified as the person hosting the party and will appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date, police said. Deputies checked the drivers as they left the party to ensure none had been drinking.
SILVER CREEK - Casey J. Peacock, 39, of Silver Creek, was charged Thursday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate head lamps. At 11:58 p.m., deputies pulled over a driver who committed a traffic violation, police said. An investigation revealed that the driver-Peacock-was driving with a suspended license. He will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
IRVING - Michael D. Kroll, 42, of Irving, was charged Saturday with first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt. At 12:39 p.m., deputies observed an individual operating a car without wearing a seat belt on Franklin Street in Irving, police said. Deputies pulled over the vehicle and noticed that Kroll had an open can of beer in his cupholder, according to police. Further investigation determined that Kroll was intoxicated and had suspended driving privileges from a previous alcohol-related offense, police said. He will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
POMFRET - Amanda P. Alford, 28, of Mayville, was charged Sunday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and speeding. At 12:45 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Webster Road in Pomfret. Investigation revealed that the driver - Alford - had suspended driving privileges due to an alcohol-related offense, police said. She will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date.
HANOVER - James E. Colf, 47, of Hamburg, was charged Sunday with failure to stop at stop sign, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. At 3:24 p.m., deputies on patrol in Sunset Bay observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. After pulling over the vehicle, deputies determined that the driver - Colf - was intoxicated, police said. He will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
BROCTON - A 16-year-old youth was charged Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree obstructing governmental administration due to an incident that occurred on June 23. On that date, it is alleged that the youth recklessly caused damage to a vehicle on Lake Avenue in Brocton and attempted to flee on foot. The youth will appear in Brocton Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
ALLEGANY - Clare M. Barr, 61, of Olean, was charged Thursday with third-degree assault following an alleged incident in Allegany. She will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.
OLEAN - Desiree S. Culverwell, 27, of Olean, was apprehended Saturday on a Carrollton bench warrant. She was wanted for failure to appear on a trespass charge. She was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 bail.
ALLEGANY - Fred K. VanDeusen III, 56, of Allegany, was charged Thursday with second-degree harassment following an alleged incident in Allegany. He will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.
MANSFIELD - Cory M. Allen, 36, of Little Valley, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and failure to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop on Jersey Hollow in Mansfield. He will appear in Mansfield Court at a later date.
COLDSPRING - Jack A. Young, 64, of Steamburg, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and failure to dim high beams after a traffic stop on Route 394 in Coldspring. He will appear in Coldspring Court at a later date.
LITTLE VALLEY - Michael C. Kay, 73, of Ellicottville, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated after a vehicle accident off of Route 353 in Little Valley, police said. He will appear in Little Valley Court at a later date.
ALLEGANY - Thomas Caya, 23, of Allegany, was charged Wednesday with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child after an incident that allegedly took place on Feb. 19 at the Allegany Kwik Fill gas station, police said. He will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.
