BUSTI - The Southern Chautauqua County Club Associates will have its 18th annual Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 6 at the South Hills Country Club.
Golfers will then be invited to the Lakewood Celoron Moose for a chicken barbecue and the announcement of winners and prizes.
Teams of four can sign up at any area club, with at least one player being affiliated with the sponsoring club. All proceeds will benefit The Children's Safety Village in Ashville and last year $1,569 was raised.
At the November meeting of the Southern Chautauqua County Club Associates, Terri Kindberg from the Safety Village was presented with a check for $1,569 from the organization’s 2013 golf tournament.
Last year's tournament had teams from the following clubs: Elks, Vikings IOV No. 65, Falconer American Legion, War Vets, Lakewood Rod & Gun, Lakewood/Celoron Moose, Chautauqua Lake Fish Club and Mayville Legion.
Donations were also received from the Eagles, Jamestown Moose, Jamestown Legion, Celoron Legion and Cassadaga Legion.
Sponsors are Evans Liquor, Dons Car Wash, Home Depot, the Jamestown Jammers, the Lakewood Golf Center, Maplevale Farms, McDonalds, Pepsi of Jamestown, Tops, Tim Hortons, Wing City Grille, Jamestown Area Community Federal Credit Union (JACFCU) and Curtze.
