INTERLEAGUE LITTLE LEAGUE
Ryan Schrecengost drove in Brayden Coleson with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning as Frewsburger topped Zahm & Matson, 7-6, on Monday night.
Coleson started the rally with a one-out triple to right-center field after Z&M had loaded the bases with one out in the top half of the inning and failed to score.
Z&M tied the game 6-6 in the top of the fifth inning as Isaac Hind singled, Mason Padgett doubled and Tyler Hind also singled.
Frewsburger took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Caleb Carr, Aaron Hair and Kaleb Bender all singled. After Z&M took a 3-2 lead in the top of the third, Frewsburger battled back with three more runs as Carr, Hair and Bender all singled again. Coleson scored on Carr's groundout in the fourth to give Frewsburger a 6-3 lead.
Hair struck out 11 in four innings and Coleson picked up the win with six strikeouts over the final two innings. Nick Emley added a triple in the victory.
Padgett struck out five in the loss.
LYLE PARKHURST TOURNAMENT
Piazza's Carpet One finished the season with a perfect 16-0 record after taking two games in the Parkhurst Tournament.
In the championship game, Piazza's turned back JTA, 13-3, as Owen Maggio stroked three hits with two doubles.
Riley Piazza also had three hits and Quinn Kearney added two hits in the win.
Evan Christensen doubled for JTA.
Maggio had a home run and a double while Kyle Dean doubled as Piazza's downed Cusimano's, 10-1.
