CASAC Poster Contest Finalists’ Work To Be Displayed In Albany

June 21, 2014
Post-Journal

Pictured with Assemblyman Andy Goodell are, from back left, Lydia Lokietek, Alyssa Cashey, Samantha Kianos, Kristen DeBicki, Elizabeth Comstock, Jonathan Cooper and Ryan Malarkey. From front left are Sarah Marucci, Emma Anderson and Molly Shafer. These nine students were among the 12 finalists for the 14th annual Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council's poster contest. This year's theme was "Keeping Above the Influence." The 12 finalists' posters, along with eight posters chosen by CASAC staff, will be displayed in the hallway of the state Assembly building in Albany, where Goodell's office is located. According to Goodell, these "phenomenal posters" brighten up an otherwise white hallway. The 2014 grand-prize winner's poster will also be displayed on billboards throughout the county.
