June 20, 2014
Post-Journal

The investigation is still open and ongoing into the house fire at 837 Prendergast Ave. According to Don Woodfield, Jamestown Fire Department battalion chief, the fire happened around 4 a.m. Thursday. He said the crews had heavy fire when they arrived on the scene. The house was abandoned and fire crews were working on protecting people in the house next door. He said no one was injured on the scene. The house was completely destroyed. Woodfield said an emergency demolition was done to the house because it was unstable. The same home sustained fire damage to its basement on the evening of May 17.
