GERRY - A 46-year-old Gerry man is facing a number of charges after he allegedly shot and buried a neighbors dog. Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies first responded to Damon Hill Road in the town of Gerry on Thursday at the request of a man who was searching for his lost dog. The owner informed police that he had been searching for his dog for several days, walking through wooded areas and fields, and speaking with neighbors in an attempt to locate his pet. During his search the owner discovered an area of unearthed soil, which he began to dig up, and eventually found his deceased dog.
