Angeline Louise Postolowski, 85, of Portland, N.Y., passed away after a short illness on Thursday afternoon, June 12, 2014, at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk, N.Y., with her family by her side.
Angeline was born in Forestville, N.Y., on Feb. 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Casimer and Lena Buffamonte Polisoto.
She resided in this area most of her life. She was a seamstress by trade and had worked for the Van Raalte Co. of Dunkirk, N.Y. She also belonged to St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church of Brocton, N.Y.
Besides her family, Angeline enjoyed bingo, gardening, watching the birds, knitting and crocheting. Angeline was a very special lady to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched over the years.
She is survived by one son, John Postolowski of Dunkirk, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Bryan Postolowski, Jennifer Thornton, Kelly Ossman and Kristine Ossman; and three great-grandchildren: Adam, Eva and Aubree.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward John Postolowski, who passed away Jan. 16, 2013; and a daughter, Deborah Ossman, who passed away Nov. 6, 2009.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church of Brocton, N.Y., where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Joseph Walter.
Interment will follow at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
