Joseph N. "Joey" D'Angelo, 81, formerly of 8 Crane St., Jamestown, and Horseheads, N.Y., passed away Tuesday (June 10, 2014), in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center, Gerry.
He was born May 8, 1933, in Jamestown, the son of the late Charles D'Angelo and Emanuela Romano D'Angelo.
Joseph attended Jamestown High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1955-59. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he received his GED. Prior to retirement due to ill health, he had been employed by Howard Johnson Hotels, Horseheads, N.Y.

Joseph was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed watching baseball. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by three sisters: Philomena Ippolito of Gerry, Rosalie D'Angelo of O'Fallon, Mo., and Gloria (Ken) Martin of Jamestown; two brothers: Thomas D'Angelo of Horseheads, N.Y., and Frank (Karen) D'Angelo of Perry, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Raffaela D'Angelo in 2003; three brothers: Emanuel D'Angelo in 1947, Peter D'Angelo in 1988 and John D'Angelo in 2012; and a sister, Marie Pavlock in 2010.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Bender, chaplain of Heritage Group, will officiate. Burial will be in Soldier's Circle of Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown.
Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
