The latest in a string of heroin busts in the city occurred Wednesday afternoon at 628 Spring St.
Jamestown police raided the apartment of Steven Mojica-Medina, 26, at 4:55 p.m. and seized multiple bundles of heroin packaged for sale, along with a quantity of powder heroin.
The total street value of the narcotics was approximately $3,000.
A quantity of crack cocaine was also confiscated, along with a loaded pistol.
Additionally, three small children were taken into custody during the raid and have been placed with a relative.
Mojica-Medina was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Mojica-Medina was transported to the city jail where he is awaiting arraignment.
The raid was conducted by Jamestown Police and the New York State Community Narcotics Enforcement Team as part of their ongoing investigation into heroin sales and trafficking in Jamestown.
