The Jamestown Rifle Club recently hosted an NRA/NYSRPA three-position smallbore regional rifle match.
The matches consisted of an iron-sight match one day and an any-sight match on the other day. Both matches were shot at 50 yards outdoors with two targets of 20 record shots in prone, kneeling and off-hand for a possible score of 1,200 points, and 120x's each day with a combined total of 2,400 for both days.
Awards were given for match winners each day and a combined winner along with high junior shooter. The iron sight match winner was Rhianna Lichtenthal with a 1162-30x. The high any-sight match winner was Clayton Hanson with a 1171-47x. The high combined junior shooter was Edward Schmitt with a 2279-67x and the overall winner was Clayton Hanson with a 2321-75x.

Each was awarded a medal and the overall winner earned a medallion along with a discount on the entry fees for the National Rifle Matches in Bristol, Ind. this summer.
There will be a two-day prone only smallbore match June 21-22. There are many different shooting opportunities, leagues, training classes and matches offered for men, women and children 10 and older.
