Katherine L. Cooper Frazier, formerly of Ellington, N.Y., and currently of Colony Apartments, Lakewood, N.Y., passed away on May 26, 2014, in her home.
Katie, as she was so fondly known by, was preceded in death by her husband, Neil G. Frazier, and her parents, Ivan and Bessie Cooper of Celoron, N.Y., as well as five brothers and one sister. Katie is survived by her children, Gary L. Frazier, Skip Frazier (Brenda), Bonnie Wright (Maurice), Charles Frazier (Joann), Priscilla Morrison (Jim), and one sister, Marie Johnson.
Katie has 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She grew up in Celoron, N.Y., and this is where she first came to learn about her God Jehovah. She was a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on Baker Street Extension in Jamestown, N.Y. Katie spoke of her faith to all who would listen and would explain the Bible's promise of her faith in the earthly resurrection and always encouraged individuals to look into the Bible to see what it really teaches.
She had a love for Chautauqua Lake, as she was an avid fisherwoman and often spoke of the great fishing it once had. Mom was a wonderful cook, especially her Albanian cooking and was always ready to add an extra plate at the dinner table for an unexpected guest. She is going to be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In respect of her wishes, no memorial services will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family of Katherine Frazier at P.O. Box 22, Cherry Creek, NY 14726.
