Walking Tours Of Jamestown

The Fenton History Center is offering a variety of walking tours this summer. The first tour of the season is of the old Northside of Jamestown, now our greater downtown, on Saturday at 1 p.m., starting at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St. From Fourth Street to the Chadakoin, learn about the people and businesses that thrived here from the early 1800s to the 1950s. The tour will be led by Fenton History Center Director Joni Blackman and will begin and end at the Fenton History Center parking lot. The tour is approximately two hours long. Participants should be able to walk for two hours, wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. The fee is $10 for potential members and $5 for Fenton History Center members. Children under 18 years of age can attend the tours for free when accompanied by a paying adult. The limit is two children per adult. The next walking tour of the year is the Industrial Jamestown tour on Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at the Fenton History Center.
