DUNKIRK - Becca King of Clymer-Sherman-Panama and Hope Pietrocarlo of Maple Grove came up with titles in the running events for the girls and Zachary Jackson of Randolph ran to victory to highlight the boys results Friday at the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Track & Field Championships at Dunkirk High School.
King claimed the 800 meters in 2:23.44 with Cortnie Vaughn of Allegany-Limestone second at 2:24.32 for the girls. Pietrocarlo turned back Lauren Reyda of Fredonia in the 3,000 with a time of 10:25.92 compared to Reyda's 11:06.72.
Jackson was superb in the 800 for Randolph with a clocking of 2:02.72 compared to second place Ethan Francis of Dunkirk with a 2:05.

Owen Barber of Allegany-Limestone won the 3,200 with a time of 9:39.43.
Champions were also determined in some field events.
Leading the way in the girls pole vault was Silver Creek's Emily Harford with a height of 9 feet, 3 inches, while Mackenzie Wright claimed the triple jump for Falconer in 35-10. Ann O'Neal of Franklinville placed first in the shot put with a throw of 33-11.
Rashad Graham of Dunkirk set the mark in the boys high jump (5-10) and Fredonia's Matt Civilette led the long jump with 19-4. John Martin of Southwestern took the discus with a toss of 147-04

Brittany Feldman of Southwestern sits atop the 400 (59.62) and the 200 (27.07) with Mckenna Maycock of Randolph leading the 100 hurdles (16.10) and Christina Walter of Maple Grove the 100 (13.23) for the girls.
Falconer leads the way in the 400 relay (53.05).
For the boys, Jordan Powers of Southwestern qualified first for the boys in the 400 hurdles (56.36) and in the 110 hurdles (16.72).
Dunkirk's Nick Barlette qualified first in the 100 (11.64). The Marauders' 400 relay team placed ahead of everyone in the 400 relay (44.71).
Matt McCarthy of Fredonia qualified first in the 200 (24).
