Oke M. Isaacson, 90, of 4866 Westman Road, Bemus Point, died Monday, May 19, 2014, in his home.
A Jamestown native, he was born Aug. 23, 1923, a son of the late Bernhard and Ottilia Kaller Isaacson.
He attended Jamestown Public Schools, and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1945-46.
Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed by Alltel as a supervisor.
He was a member of the Norden Club, having served on the board of directors. His other memberships include the Bemus Point United Methodist Church and Viking Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lois Shepardson, whom he married June 5, 1948; and two sons: Jef-frey Isaacson of Norwalk, Conn., and Matthew Isaacson of Bemus Point.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Arnold and Yngve Isaacson; and a sis-ter, Dagmar Tongren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bemus Point United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Willi-am A. Allen will officiate.
Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
