Elizabeth M. Andrews, 85, formerly of 5 Pleasantview Drive, James-town, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday (May 12, 2014), in Heritage Village Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
She was born June 4, 1928, in Muhlenburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late John F. and Anna Watts (Tonkin) German.
She was a former member of the Jamestown Free Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, director of children's ministries and served on numerous committees.
Surviving are her devoted husband, companion, and friend, Robert C. An-drews, whom she married July 13, 1953, and who cared for her during her battle with Alzheimer's disease; two daughters: El-izabeth "Betty" (Paul) Sundquist of Jamestown, and Dorothy (Dail) Swan-son of Escondido, Calif.; two sons: Sheldon Millard of Ocean, N.J., and Ronald Andrews of Falconer, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie Lee; two brothers: William Tonkin and Robert Tonkin; and four sisters: Margaret Layaou, Irmal Perry, Laura Macking and Dorothy Johnson.
A private memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
