Carl Michael Ford, 31, passed away unexpectedly April 30, 2014.
He was a native of Falconer, N.Y., and relocated to Vacaville, Calif.
He was born Dec. 12, 1982, in Jamestown, N.Y. to Glenn and Linda Ford, also of Falconer.
Carl attended Falconer Central School where he played soccer and as a teen enjoyed snowboarding and skateboarding. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the SBFREAKS Group 707, of Vacaville, Calif.
Over the years Carl had been employed by multiple businesses in the area, several of which were Truck-Lite, Serta Mattress and Vertical Limits. He most recently worked for Contra Costa County Tran-sportation in Antioch, Calif. as a mechanic and had been recently promoted and recognized as Employee of the Month.
He married Shannon Taylor, in Reno, Nev., on Jan. 28, 2011, and has four children: two step-daughters, Morgan and Paige Pangborn, and two sons, Caden and Carson Ford.
He is also survived by his parents as well as a sister, Candra (Stephen) Roach of Kennedy, N.Y.; his grandparents: Norman and Nancy Tellinghuisen of Ashville, N.Y.; four aunts: Nancy Pevarnik of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Christina Tellinghuisen of West Ellicott, N.Y., Gail Smith of Seminole, Fla., and Joan Miller of Springville, Fla.; and five uncles: Thomas (Patti) Ford of Wasilla, Alaska, Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Ford of Jamestown, N.Y., Robert (Jodi) Tellinghuisen of Glendale, Ariz., David (Sue) Tellinghuisen of Cherry Creek, N.Y., and Scott Tellinghuisen of Ashville, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Gladys Ford; and an uncle, Donald Tellinghuisen.
A memorial service was held at the McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville, Calif. on May 6, 2014.
