Jamestown finally broke into the win column on Thursday afternoon as the Red Raiders (1-7, 1-11) scored consistently all game long in posting a 10-5 victory over West Seneca West in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 baseball game.
Jeff Miller picked up the win on the mound for JHS, going six-plus innings while giving up eight hits and three walks, while striking out two.
Miller also led the offense with three hits with two doubles and three RBIs, and Chad Nelson, Jacob Kindberg, Chris Haase, Jake Sisson and Cameron Haberberger all had two hits.

WEST 2 DIVISION
SINCLAIRVILLE - It was all Cassadaga Valley as the Cougars (3-3, 3-4) used a seven-run inning and the solid pitching of Matt Hollowell to down Panama, 13-1.
Jaquan Watts slammed a two-run triple, Tyson Gugino added a two-run double and Kyle Ruge also doubled.
Hollowell surrendered just two hits in the complete-game victory, striking out 13 with no walks.
For Panama, Adam Shutt doubled.
DIVISION 1 EAST
RANDOLPH - Randolph (1-6, 2-8) dropped a 9-3 decision to Portville.
Justice Elliot earned the win on the mound for the Panthers, striking out seven and walking one.
Mitchell Maycock made his way through 6innings for Randolph and struck out nine with four walks before being relieved by Austin Mitchell who fanned a pair.
Alek Gonzalez ended the day with two hits, including a double, and a pair of RBIs while Brett Marcellin had three hits and an RBI for Portville.
Mitchell was the only Cardinal to post two hits in the loss.
DIVISION 1 WEST
Jamestown's Mary Cersosimo turned in an all-around performance to lead the Lady Red Raiders to a 7-0 victory over Frewsburg.
Cersosimo tossed a two-hitter, struck out eight and walked one for the Lady Red Raiders (8-2, 8-5). Offensively, she helped her own cause with a triple and two singles, Katlin Haines added two hits and one run scored and Jessica Pace added two RBIs.
Claire Garvey took the loss for the Bears with five strikeouts and two walks.
DIVISION 2 WEST
SINCLAIRVILLE - The Panama Lady Panthers (5-4) scored nine runs in the third inning to ease past the Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (2-4), 11-6.
The Lady Cougars battled back to make the score 9-6, but the Lady Panthers scored two more runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
Carly Abate was the winning pitcher as she gave up eight hits and struck out five while walking two and hitting two batters.
Panama's top hitter was Taylor Bowen with three hits. Sarah Osborne and Brittney Lenart each had two hits.
Alicia Guichard led Cassadaga Valley with three hits while Brooke Johnson and Rebecca Rothleader each had two hits in defeat.
DIVISION 1 EAST
RANDOLPH - The Portville Lady Panthers had no trouble on the road against Randolph (1-7) as they claimed a 16-6 victory.
Torey Cassidy got the win in the circle for the Lady Panthers. The Portville offense was led by Cammie McCracken with three hits, including a home run, Madison Clark with three hits, and Britta Rajski with three hits and a home run.
For Randolph Morgan Gumhalter collected three hits, including a triple, Sabrina Jackson had two hits and a triple, and Tyler Henderson belted a two-run home run.
